The data on platform tourism shows the number of nights for the number of people for whom the accommodations were booked. For example, if a family of four stays two nights in one place, this is counted as eight nights. The data is normalized per 1000 inhabitants per region. The data is focused on short-term stays like apartments and holiday homes and excludes hotels. The data was provided by platforms Airbnb, Booking.com, and Expedia Group. The data on the young population combine two age groups 25-29 and 30-34. All data used is on NUTS3 regions level.
