Energy price increases compared to rents
The graphic compares the development of consumer prices of rentals of dwellings with the prices of energy for housing since 2015.
The data is taken from the harmonised index of consumer prices. We used two main categories related to housing: “Actual rentals for housing [CP041]” and “Electricity, gas and other fuels [CP045]”. We compared those to the overall development of the prices of all consumed goods combined.
